Coolaire Is Recognized for Quality Sustainability Drive at 2026 Perlas ng Kahusayan Awards
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Coolaire Consolidated Inc. (Coolaire), the pioneer in cold chain refrigeration solutions in the Philippines and a leading voice in SDGs in the industry, was recently recognized and bestowed the prestigious 4-Star Quality Sustainability Award by the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ) during the Perlas ng Kahusayan: Gabi ng Parangal 2026 at the Universidad de Zamboanga on October 15, 2026.
The national award celebrates outstanding business practices that integrate quality management principles with sustainable measures addressing pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges, with the 4-star distinction intended for organizations with exemplary practices that align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through a rigorous evaluation, Coolaire earned the honor for its campaign “Preserving Your Dreams”, its flagship project focused on operational excellence and sustainable manufacturing aligned with its recent certification to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
“This award validates the Coolaire way of not only doing things for profit and better business, but by factoring in communities and people—both internal and external—in this pursuit of excellence,” said Joel Ryan Tugade, President of Coolaire.
Key milestones under the project include solar-powered operations and fuel-saving transportation practices, resulting in a 4.94% drop in the company’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Beyond core operations, the project also enriches local stakeholders through Coolaire’s charitable arm, the JRT Foundation, which implements programs for quality education, food security, and decent work across its workforce and host communities.
