Coolaire celebrates first truck turnover with Thaco Auto

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Coolaire, the nation’s number one refrigerated van manufacturer, officially marked its first unit turnover with leading Vietnamese truck brand Thaco Auto and distributor BJ Mercantile Inc.

The event showcased a Coolaire-customized Thaco Linker T2-16, featuring a diesel-powered transport refrigeration system for chilled and frozen applications, fiberglass body for extended useful life, the all-new ProView 360° camera for safer driving, and robust insulation for superior thermal protection. This collaboration highlights Coolaire’s expertise in providing tailor-fit truck solutions based on client requirements.

While a first for Thaco Auto, this partnership has long been established between Coolaire and BJ Mercantile. For the past several decades, the distributor has utilized Coolaire’s refrigeration products for its other brands, such as Ashok Leyland and Fuso.

“We’re very happy with [Coolaire’s] product performance so we felt the partnership needs to be grown. [Coolaire] knows the product and the system,” said Leilani Lim-Tan, Vice President of BJ Mercantile Inc.

Lim-Tan further highlighted Coolaire’s “reliability and durability” due to its robust after-sales services.

“If we don’t have after sales services, no matter how great our product is, it’s nothing. Coolaire’s strength in after-sales is what really drove us to formalize this partnership,” said Lim-Tan.

Coolaire presently has multiple service centers in the Bicol Region, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, among others, to cater to its clients all over the Philippines.

This recent partnership with both new and old vehicle companies further solidifies Coolaire’s position as a trusted leader in the truck refrigeration industry that sets the standard for Philippine cold chain logistics.
